
MyAmego is an intelligent alert, activity-monitoring and reporting system for care homes and is especially useful for residents with cognitive impairments such as dementia or physical disabilities such as blindness.
Although it has nurse call capability, the strength of this innovative system is that it is passive to the user; they do not have to push buttons or pull chords to alert staff for assistance as MyAmego unobtrusively monitors each resident’s risk and mobility and automatically alerts carers when assistance is required, or prompts carers when users have not visited required locations e.g. toilets. The system also provides staff with reminders concerning each resident’s needs e.g. medication, GP visits etc.
The system can be used to monitor care delivery to residents, providing reports on staff activity and time spent by carers at locations/rooms.
The system is wireless and can therefore be installed in a home with minimal disruption.
